Meet Our Founder

Stephanie M. Hernandez, D.M.D., is an experienced and proven dental medicine leader with experience operating in over forty dental centers in 4 states (Florida, Texas, Illinois, and New Mexico), serving over 100,000 patients.
 

Dr. Hernandez has extensive experience negotiating dental payor contracts, implementing platform systems (such as electronic dental records, HR, patient engagement, and revenue cycle management), and improving the profitability of dental practices (both for independent practices and scaled dental organizations). 

Dr. Hernandez is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. She is also the founder of Athena Dental, which is committed to bringing value-based dental care to seniors, risk bearing organizations, senior living facilities, universities, and large health systems. 

In addition, Dr. Hernandez is a value-based care leader and published author.
